Aerodynamic Design of a Centrifugal Compressor Stage

For this project, ADT engineers were asked to carry out the complete redesign of all the components of a compressor stage, including an impeller, vaneless diffuser and outlet volute.

• Understand the targets in terms of pressure ratio and efficiencies as well as overall mechanical performance, and how these were met

• Find out how our engineers achieved improvements in efficiency across the entire stage

• Discover the FEA and CFD analysis on the final design
